Boiler Servicing and repair with Avenue Heating

Every boiler needs upgrading at some time, it could be too old, no longer working properly, or it may have been condemned.

There are some common reasons for needing a new boiler installation:

Boiler Repair & Servicing from Avenue heating

A Combi boiler provides an unlimited, instant hot water supply, as well as your central heating needs.

Combi boilers are fantastic for smaller homes, such as flats or small houses, where space is a bit tight. A combi boiler is very energy efficient and cost-effective as water is only heated when you need it and not heated and stored.

The drawback to combination boilers is that when there are two or more taps being used together, there is a noticeable difference in the flow rate of the hot water as the water comes directly from the mains water supply.

This type of boiler only acts as a heat source, you can either use it to heat your radiators or under-floor heating, or you can use it to heat the water in your hot water cylinder.

These boilers are similar to conventional boilers, with the exception that they contain additional components, such as a central heating pump, pressure relief valve, and expansion vessel.

System boilers, like combination boilers, are installed as part of a “sealed” heating system, meaning, if also fitted with an unvented cylinder, there is no need for any tanks in your loft.

A Conventional boiler installation also acts only as a heat source,as with system boilers, although, they have no additional components in them.

They are sometimes installed in a ‘classic’ type of heating system, where there may be a cylinder, along with pumps to boost water pressure to baths and showers.

Boilers of this type are suitable for older heating systems, where increased pressures may cause problems with leaks, etc .
