WHAT NEW BOILERS ARE AVAILABLE?

COMBINATION BOILERS

A Combi boiler provides an unlimited, immediate hot water supply, in addition to your central heating needs.

Combi boilers are fantastic for smaller homes, such as flats or small homes, where space is restricted. A combination boiler is very energy efficient and cost-effective as water is only heated when you need it and not heated and stored.

The drawback to combi boilers is that when there are two or more taps being used together, it can reduce the flow rate of the hot water as the water comes directly from the mains water supply.

SYSTEM BOILERS

This type of boiler is only a heat source, either you can use it to heat your radiators or under-floor heating, or you can use it to heat the water in your hot water cylinder.

They are similar to conventional boilers, with the difference being that they contain additional components, such as a central heating pump, pressure relief valve, and expansion vessel.

System boilers, like combination boilers, are installed as part of a “sealed” heating system, meaning, if also fitted with an unvented cylinder, there is no need for any tanks in your loft.

CONVENTIONAL BOILERS

Although conventional boilers have no additional components, they also act as a heat source, like system boilers.

They are sometimes installed in a ‘classic’ type of heating system, where there may be a cylinder, along with pumps to boost water pressure to baths and showers.

These types of boilers are best for older heating systems, where increased pressures used in a ‘sealed’ system may cause issues with leaks etc .

ST ALBANS, UK

St Albans is a cathedral city in Hertfordshire, England located at the east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield, 20 miles (32 km) north-west of London. St. Albans, which later became the Roman city of Verulamium, was the first significant settlement for travelers traveling north on the ancient Roman Watling Street. It is located in the Greater London Built-up Area and the commuter belt of London.

St Albans‘ numerous historic inns can be attributed to its past as a small rural market town, a Christian pilgrimage place, and the first coaching stop on the route to and from London. Small and lacking in industry, St. Albans was in the Victorian era.
